Our Story
Welcome to House of McNee, a small family-run chocolatier based in the heart of Crieff, Scotland.
Our story began with my dad, Stephen, who worked for Benedicks of Mayfair before founding The Chocolatier in 1985. His goal was to bring the finest Belgian chocolates and high-quality British confectionery to the UK.
Over the years, he collaborated with renowned names such as Charbonnel et Walker, Valrhona and Mondose Neuhaus, supplying prestigious stores including Fortnum & Mason, Harrods, Selfridges, Jenners, and other major department stores.
After meeting my mum, Greta, they decided to settle in Crieff, where they opened our first shop in 1990 — a cosy haven for chocolate lovers that quickly became part of the local community.
Word soon spread, and before long we were welcoming customers from near and far — many travelling from across the UK to visit our shop and enjoy our chocolates.
I’ve been brought up in the shop, surrounded by the smell of chocolate and the joy it brings to others. Today, I’m proud to be continuing my parents’ legacy — I’m Fiona, and with a little help from my family, I’m bringing House of McNee online so that our handmade treats can be shared far beyond our hometown.
