This is a partnership of business started by Stephen Brown and Greta Gordon resulting in McNees of Crieff.

Stephen has been in the food industry since leaving school to work as a manager trainee in a supermarket group, gaining hands on experience of food and then progressing to Store Manager.

The Chocolatier was founded in 1985 to sell a range of quality handmade Chocolates to stores in the North of England with concessions selling quality chocolates in select Department Stores

"The Chocolatier" - one of the first importers of handmade Belgian Chocolates to Scotland, selling quality chocolates to shops in Scotland.

In 1989 it was decided to relocate to Scotland and open "The Old Merchants" in Crieff, selling chocolates, fudge and Scottish foods (The Scottish gift Basket). Soon established as a destination for regular visitors to Scotland looking for chocolates and Scottish foods to take home.

In 1998 - fed up of not being able to find good quality foods and ingredients opened a new shop-

McNees of Crieff was born!
